Philly Baird encouraged us to be a better version of ourselves. Philly used his voice to make a difference even while he was deteriorating in the hospital. Philly spoke out about his situation and encouraged others to consider the vax as a layer of protection while not fool proof. I have personally heard from about 100+ people that made the choice from seeing Philly’s interview. Many people have sent letters around the world to us that have seen Philly's interview and how it made a difference in their life and those in their family.
Philly lived a life well lived, a life full of love for others and not about accumulating things. One's legacy is a combination of the way we live every day and the impact it has on our friends, our family, our community and the world, as well as how we prepare others for life without us. Leaving a legacy is a way to let others appreciate our love and our consideration for them because we took the time to plan ahead for the impact our absence would have on them. Philly has left us all with his passion and love of reaching out to those in need and to actively watch for moments that allow us to lift someone up and be the change we wish to see in the world.
What mattered the most to Philly can & will live on through each of us.
Philly loved all Philadelphia sports...the 76'ers, Flyers, and of course the Eagles. He loved Penn State and Villanova College teams as well. This video was in Minneapolis days before the Eagles Superbowl Feb. 2018.
